Single Product - Multiple executable usecase.

Post by saspus »

Hi,

I have the following use case in mind: a product is shipped as a few executables, each encompassing critical code that needs to be protected. How shall the protection and licensing workflow be organized in order to protect more than one executable with the same license key (for particular customer and project pair).

Main concern is that when creating product in the License manager only one VMProtect project file can be specified, while VMProtect project seems to only work with one executable.

Licensing each executable separately is not an option.

Please advise,

BR,
Alex.

You can specify a common file with licensing parameters (at the "Options"-"Licensing parameters") for each executables from your product (by default a project file and a file with licensing parameters is the same).

Yeah just have one VMProtect license project file and use that to protect all your executable files. Then just have each executable file read a common license file and do its checks.
