how to statically link VMP dll

hi
i am trying to use crc check.
i dont want to have the dll hanging around so i want to link it statically.
i tryed addin it to "linker -> input" in visual studio but still i get error of dll missing.
to be explicit, i want to do this before protecting the exe with VMP, when executing the exe needs sdk.dll.
any tips?
